Books

The Zapotec Language Project supports community members to make books — fully bilingual in Zapotec and Spanish — for other community members. These books are used in annual reading and writing workshops in Santiago Laxopa, and they can be downloaded for free below, in both web versions (smaller, low resolution) and print versions (larger, higher resolution).

We are happy to share the illustrations for these books with other communities, so they can create their own language materials. Versions without text (in high quality resolution) can also be downloaded below. The illustrations are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. You are free to use them for any noncommercial purpose, as long as you attribute them to the Zapotec Language Project.
